Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea
Sherrill Bambauer and Dr. Eric & Tiffany Blasingame present
April 3 - October 31, 2021
Delightful and shocking, this indoor/outdoor exhibition highlights the perils of plastic pollution. Plastics have spread to every ocean in the world and into all marine habitats, entering every level of the ocean food chain. Whales, fish, zooplankton, and numerous other animals are eating our trash and approximately 80% of that marine debris comes from land-based sources; from streets to streams into rivers and oceans. Yes, even the Sacramento River.
Meet Stella the Seahorse and her companions as you follow the trail of spectacular artworks created from garbage to learn how YOU can help save the sea. This Exhibition is created by Washed Ashore,
a project of the Artula Institute for Art and Environmental Education.
