Mill Building

Located in Paul Bunyan’s Forest Camp at Turtle Bay

North State forests and wildlife are the heart of the Mill Building, and visitors delight in viewing the animals and exploring the hands-on exhibits. The Mill Building has been around for 20 years at Turtle Bay and has just been renovated from top to bottom. The whole inside has been refreshed and we have added all new, fun and engaging exhibits. One of these is our Smokejumper exhibit, where you get to try your hand as a real Smokejumper and navigate your way through the air while avoiding obstacles to land on the target.

The Mill Building also features new animal exhibits, including a life-like redwood tree that you can walk into and experience the animals up-close. There is a new habitat for the desert animals that you will enjoy. As part of the renovations, we also put in an infant crawl area. The Mill Building is a great, safe place to let your child crawl around while your older kids play with our puppet theater, or engage with the other exhibits, so come check it out and see it for yourself.
