Oh, What A Night! Turtle Bay Auction 2019
Oh, What A Night! Turtle Bay Auction 2019
More than 400 community members gathered this weekend for Turtle Bay Exploration Park’s Jeans, Jewels & Jazz Auction, held March 23, 2019 at Redding Civic Auditorium. The event, themed to the classic film “American Graffiti”, is Turtle Bay’s biggest fundraiser of the year and features live & silent auctions, raffle giveaways and more.
Guests had an amazing time, decked out in greaser jackers and poodle skirts, and mingled among movie-set quality décor while taking in delicious food and beverages.
“Best one yet!”, “My favorite theme so far” and “This is the best auction in town” are just some of many comments made by attendees, as they made their way through the packed house!
The annual Auction benefits educational programs and exhibitions at Turtle Bay. Attendees also had the opportunity to contribute to our “Fund-A-Need” project, which focused on building a new enclosure for our Laughing Kookaburra, Kinta.
We had many generous attendees raise their paddles in enthusiasm during the live auction, helping us hit an unprecedented fundraising goal and making this the best year yet!
The Jeans, Jewels & Jazz Auction would not be possible without the help of volunteers that come together each year to create something great! We’d like to extend a huge amount of gratitude to Turtle Bay Auction Chair Rhonda Jaegel, the procurement committee, the décor committee, ongoing Turtle Bay volunteers and staff. Thank you to all who helped make this righteous evening shine!
